Avik is the Founder and Managing Director of Re-emerging World, a strategic advisory firm specializing in emerging markets “base of the pyramid” strategies. He engages with leaders of Multinational Corporations, Global Institutions, Civil Society Organisations, and Social Entrepreneurs on designing innovative inclusive business models, evaluating investment opportunities and market-based interventions. He brings in over 20 years’ experience out of which 15 years in inclusive business. He has worked on the ground and researched in 11 countries in Asia and Africa and across 12 sectors including energy, nutrition, agriculture and inclusive finance.

Prior to that, he worked in India as an engineer with ICI, a consultant with TATA Consultancy Services and The Next Practice, working with Prof. CK Prahalad, Professor of Corporate Strategy at University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Avik was awarded the Gold Medal for Best All Round Performance in Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode where he was the General Electric Fund Scholar. He also graduated First class with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
